Teen fatally shot at Brooklyn street corner
A 17-year-old boy died after he was shot in the neck at a Brooklyn street corner, police said Thursday.
Cops responding to a report of an assault at the corner of Rochester Ave. and Sterling Place around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday found the victim sprawled out on the ground, bleeding from his neck.
Medics rushed the teen to Kings County Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. His name was withheld pending notification of family members.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the shooting.
No arrests have been made. Detectives were scouring the area Thursday looking for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter.
