NYC men killed in crash on Saw Mill River Parkway

Two New York City motorists were killed in a chaotic multi-car crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers, authorities said.

Adolph Cintron, 57, of Brooklyn, was headed south on the divided highway near McClean Ave. around 2 p.m. Sunday when he rammed into a concrete barrier near an opening where emergency vehicles can turn around, according to Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary.

His 2019 Lincoln SUV rocketed into the air, flipped over, and landed roof-first onto a 2017 Hyundai SUV going in the opposite direction, according to O’Leary.

Both Cintron and the Hyundai driver, Noe Perez Procopio, 40, of the Bronx, died, O’Leary said. Perez Procopio’s wife and daughter were also hurt.

The crash caused what police described as a secondary collision on the northbound side of the highway.

Police on Monday were still trying to determine why Cintron lost control of his SUV.
