NYPD busts suspect in Brooklyn slaying that followed argument over woman

The suspect sought in a late-night stabbing murder in Brooklyn has been arrested, police said Friday.

Freddie Davis, 37, allegedly killed Kurt Pieters, 41, on E. 106th St. near Flatlands Ave. in Canarsie on June 5.

Davis was arrested on manslaughter and weapons charges five days later. For reasons that were not clear, the NYPD did not release that information until Friday, when the victim was identified for the first time.
