Kim Kardashian details Kanye West’s ‘scary’ coronavirus battle
Kim Kardashian said it was “so scary” when husband Kanye West became sick with COVID-19 early on in the pandemic.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star spoke for the first time about West’s battle with coronavirus during an interview with the Italian magazine Grazia, saying the “All of the Lights” rapper became infected during a time “when nobody really knew what was going on.”
“I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help,” recalled Kardashian, whose children with West range from ages 1 to 7.
“I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn’t feeling good,” Kardashian, 39, added. “It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time.”
West, 43, previously described his experience with the virus when he revealed in a July interview with Forbes that he had gotten sick with COVID-19.
“Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” West said at the time.
West and Kardashian have been married since 2014.
There have been more than 35 million confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide, including more than 7 million in the United States. The global death toll from the virus recently exceeded 1 million, with more than 200,000 of those fatalities coming in the U.S.
