Stabbing in Bensonhurst home invasion kills 61-year-old, 2 19-year-olds wounded
Three people were stabbed inside of their Brooklyn home early Thursday morning and police are investigating what could have led to the violent crime.
Police received a call of an assault inside a home on 17th Avenue in Bensonhurst just after 6 a.m.
When first responders arrived they found a 61-year-old man and his two daughters with multiple stab wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene while his 19-year-old and 22-year-old daughters were transported to area hospitals.
The younger daughter is in more serious condition than her sister, according to police.
Police have learned that two unknown men did enter the home demanding property before the stabbing occurred. They fled the scene on foot before first responders arrived.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether the stabbing was connected to a family dispute.
The police have not made any arrests.
