13-year-old fatally stabbed after argument on Staten Island bus

A 13-year-old boy has died after being stabbed on a bus on Staten Island Friday afternoon.

According to authorities, the incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on a MTA bus at Littlefield Avenue and Hylan Boulevard.

Police say two teens got into an argument on a bus. A knife was produced and gang signs were shown.

The 13-year-old victim was then stabbed multiple times in the chest.

The teen suspect got off the bus and ran roughly three blocks before a Good Samaritan, a retired NYPD Sergeant, and a New York Department of Environmental Conservation officer all followed the suspect and helped arrest him.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police say they believe the incident was gang-related.

Neither person in the stabbing has been identified yet.
