Stabbing sparked by game of pool in Queens sports bar

One man was stabbed after a tiff over a game of pool turned violent at a Queens sports bar Sunday, police said.

The 45-year-old victim had been playing pool at Sagitarios Sports Bar on the corner of Jamaica Ave. and 139th St. in Jamaica before he and another man got into a disagreement over the game, police said.

The assailant first threw a pool ball at the victim — and then stepped away before coming back to stab him in the stomach around 6:40 p.m., cops said. Medics took the injured player to nearby Jamaica Hospital where he was expected to recover.

Police were searching for the suspect Sunday night.
