A young Brooklyn man was gunned down just around the corner from his home in broad daylight Wednesday, police said.

Pierrot Simeon, 20, stepped out of his home to buy a drink at the neighborhood bodega at Clarkson Ave. at E. 53rd. St. in East Flatbush, and never returned home, his distraught family said.

A gunman shot Simeon three times outside the deli about 2:20 p.m. — striking him in the torso and arm — and ran off, police sources said. Simeon may have been riding a Citi Bike when he was shot, sources said.

Medics took him to Kings County Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related, sources said. Simeon identified himself as a member of the Crips on his Facebook page.

His relatives offered a different picture of Simeon, describing him as a hard-working, generous young man who worked as a cashier at a Walgreen’s.

“We can’t believe it. He was our youngest,” said one relative, referring to Simeon and his siblings. The relative wouldn’t give his name.

“He was very respectful, kind and down to earth. He was always willing to help,” the relative said. “He was a hard-working cashier at Walgreens. It’s terrible news. We’re just mourning the loss.”

Family members said they were shocked to hear of his killing, and had no idea who wanted him dead.

“He went to the store to get a drink – soda or water. A neighbor came by and said he was down. He had been shot,” the relative said.

Police have made no arrests.
